Hands Down, an outrageous blast from the past...this totally depicts the 60s hippie retro boho error of fashion...An original "Carpetbags Of America" shoulder bag, totally constructed of plush, smooth, soft, felty corduroy-ish material, in a fun apple green color, and quilted in a cushiony wavy diamond pattern that adds such fantastic texture.Sporting a top flap over cover closure that is edged off in a scallop cut and trimmed with a deep green cording that is done in a loopy design to match the scalloped edge, really adds a fun yet chic look to this already outstanding masterpiece!! The green cording also runs along to outline the body of bag, which is shaped in a long rectangular rounded shape. Flap over lifts to reveal a gorgeous interior lined in a pale apple green satin with an interior side wall flap slip pocket, and a cute little flower embellishment on back side of flap. Still attached is the original old tag which reads "Carpetbags Of America, unique fabric bags" ...and unique they absolutely are...and collectible...this is a great addition to any collection..and to any vintage fashion lovers wardrobe!!Measuring about 9" top to bottom w/o handle and about 20" - 21" with it and 8.25" from side to side at widest and 2.25" in depth, this is in excellent vintage condition with no major damage that i have come across...there is one little spot that needs cleaning..the underneath of the strap at the very middle ..the part that would sit on the shoulder..is a little yellowed, but can most likely clean off..and it isnt noticeable cause its on the underneath side...so looks amazing and free of flaws...this is bound to stir excitement...its truly an original piece of art in the world of fashion and accessories!!!
