Antique Rare Fancy
Iridescent Czech Blue Perfume Bottle
$425.00
This
is a rare antique Bohemian atomizer, probably
Czechoslovakian. It is unusual because along
with its deep blue and purple iridescent color
it is exquisitely enameled with hand-painted
flowers in white and gold around the top of
the body. The lower body is melon ribbed.
The ornate dark silver metal top is original
with a new atomizer ball. The atomizer tube
inside is metal.
I
couldn't find a signature before but while
inspecting it carefully again, I noticed that
the metal cap around the bottle neck is marked
Sterling, 447, and has a maker's mark that
I identified as La Pierre Mfg. Co, an American
Silver Co., established in 1895. I realize
that this cap does not identify the bottle
and it may not be original to the bottle,
since the atomizer part is not sterling. Nevertheless,
this ornate glass perfume bottle is in excellent
condition, no chips, no cracks. It measures
4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Where are
you going to find another incredible bottle
like this? ID=CZ1
