Gorgeous
antique garnet cabochon ring, c1800's. Beautiful,
with two rows of small cabochon stones and
one large stone in the center. Perfect condition.
You won't find an example of this exquisite
early jewelry anywhere. It test positive for
gold but I believe it to be Tombak,
an alloy similar to pinchbeck with a deep
rose gold wash, it is not marked. The size
is approximately 7.pictures). The stones are
exquisite and set very well. There are 25
Cabochons surrounding 1 large cabochon. The
head on this beauty is 1 inch accross, it
makes a very grand statement.
The
ring is in very good condition with no damage
